- At the end of this section you will be able to
- Prepare a patient for Sensor application
- Properly apply the BIS Sensor
- Connect the Sensor to the monitor
- Replace the Sensor as indicated

- Since the BIS index is an absolute measurement of the current hypnotic state, baseline information is not required for monitoring.
- Therefore, BIS monitoring can be established quickly at anytime.
